Robert freelances as a trainer and lecturer with particular interest in gender, diversity, sex and sexuality, teaching healthcare professionals and providing tailored interventions for private companies.

He teaches on accredited courses in the UK including DFSS, STIF, DipGU, MSc (Couns Psy) and regularly works as a group facilitator specialising in interventions that focus on relationships, sexual behaviour and recreational drug use. He is presently part of the SSHA team rolling out training across the UK in Motivational Interviewing for health professionals, to enable the implementation of the NICE guidelines within NHS sexual health services.

Robert has published in therapeutic journals in both the UK and US, has contributed to magazines as diverse as Skin 2 and Positive Nation, as well as edited collections of psychological essays.
